Nonprofit Success Consulting was founded in 2017 to provide a transformative approach to governance and leadership for nonprofits dedicated to the liberation of individuals, communities, families, and the global community. After decades of working in nonprofit senior leadership, Imani Evans (CEO & Founder) wanted to offer nonprofit support services that are mission-centered, client-driven, trauma-informed, and rooted in inclusion and transformative justice.

Imani Evans
NSC Chief Executive Officer & Senior Facilitator,
Imani has more than 30 years in non-profit management. Her areas of expertise include governance, conflict resolution, board training, strategic planning, and leadership & program development. Imani holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in counseling psychology.
Imani holds the following certifications: Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist, Certified Nonprofit Executive, Master Life Coach, NLP Certification, Happiness Coach, Professional Coach, and Trauma and Transformation Coach.
In addition to providing direct services, Imani leads a dynamic team of highly experienced professionals who assist with different projects to provide the highest quality of expertise and service.

Montsho Edu, MHS, is an internationally recognized, masters-level therapist committed to relationship empowerment. He is a best-selling author and innovative program designer & director with a 30-year background in large non-profit state and federal agencies within the New York Metro area. His professional expertise includes cultural competency, conflict resolution & restorative social justice.
Nwasha Edu
Senior Consultant
Nwasha Edu is a seasoned senior consultant with over 20 years of experience in project management, human services, decolonization, and instructional design, specializing in deconstructing sexism and racism in the workplace. A best-selling author and master strategic intervention coach, she holds a Master’s Degree in Human Services with a concentration in counseling from Lincoln University. Nwasha has been instrumental in designing and delivering impactful programs for non-profit, state, and corporate organizations, demonstrating her dedication to fostering inclusive and equitable environments and making her a powerful advocate and educator in the fight against internalized racism and sexism.
Maressa Pendermon
JD, MDIV
A native of Boston, Massachusetts, where she was raised in public housing, Maressa Pendermon is a spiritual alchemist and community strategist. She has been involved in spiritual care, community organizing, advocacy, teaching, learning, leadership development, organizational development and coalition building since her teen years. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Albany State University; a Juris Doctorate from the University of Florida, College of Law; and a Master of Divinity from Candler School of Theology at Emory University. She is also certified as a master trainer and facilitator by the Interaction Institute for Social Change, Cambridge, MA. Maressa believes that helping individuals, communities, and organizations to access wholeness is the work she is in the world to do. The privilege to parent her son Ian has provided her deepest joy, her most meaningful challenges, and her greatest learning.
LaBrasha Moore
Senior Consultant
I’m a certified master life coach and Reiki healer dedicated to helping women become their true, authentic selves. I believe self-care and self-love are essential for loving others. An Army veteran with a big personality, I cherish laughter and mindfulness. I advocate for positive affirmations, understanding that healing is linear and grace is vital in the process. Let’s embark on a journey of authentic self-discovery together!
Jardyn Lake
Jardyn Lake (they/them), is a Southern black/queer cultural activist, youth worker, and artist living in New Orleans. Jardyn has been a member of Southerners on New Ground (SONG) since being affirmed, baptized and radicalized in the holy waters of Southern youth organizing and leadership at the Highlander Center in 2005. A graduate of Temple University [B.A. African-American Studies, Summa Cum Laude] and the University of London’s SOAS [M.A. African Studies, with Distinction]. Jardyn is interested in creating a queer and trans-Black, Caribbean, and African transnational dialogue to inhabit spaces of joy, collective healing, and reclamation.

Lisa Diane White
Lisa Diane White is courageous in her social justice advocacy and activism; fierce in her love of Spirit, self and others; and actively engaged in work that contributes to the survival and wholeness of all people. She holds a Master’s degree in Public Health and Community Organizing and has over 30 years of experience in community-led participatory research. Lisa Diane began her activism with the National Black Women’s Health Project where self-help and empowerment through wellness continue to influence the foundation of her mission. She is an accomplished and recognized speaker, facilitator, trainer and consultant. Lisa Diane expertly intersects many social justice issues, including feminism; women’s and LGBTQIA+ health and justice; sexual and reproductive justice; gender-based violence; spirituality, grief, healing, substance abuse; intergenerational relationships, aging and human rights. When the work threatens to break your Spirit, you can always find her spreading healing love, joy and fabulous hugs.
Kristie Puckett
Kristie Puckett, MA, is a civil rights activist and (dis)organizer with firsthand experience in poverty, drug addiction, domestic violence, and incarceration. She is dedicated to creating change through policy and advocacy using deep relational organizing and lobbying. Kristie specializes in addressing the conditions of confinement for women and girls, including pregnant individuals, within carceral facilities. Her tireless work has significantly impacted local, state, regional, and national levels. Recognized for her unwavering advocacy for incarcerated pregnant women, Kristie received the esteemed Dogwood Award from NC Attorney General Josh Stein. She also serves on multiple boards for national and statewide organizations, lending her expertise to research projects on topics such as policing, political violence, and pretrial and perinatal incarceration. As an abolitionist, Kristie strives to dismantle racist systems and actively contribute to creating a healthy, vibrant, thriving, safe, and just community.
Ebonee Woodruff

With over 25 years of experience in event planning and management, Ebonee is a seasoned professional in the field. As the Director of Events, she has successfully executed a wide range of corporate and social events, from intimate gatherings to large-scale conferences. Her expertise lies in creating memorable experiences that exceed client expectations and leave a lasting impression on attendees. She is well-versed in all aspects of event production, from budgeting and logistics to vendor management and marketing. Ebonee thrives in fast-paced environments and excels at problem-solving under pressure. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering exceptional events, she is dedicated to ensuring the success of every project she undertakes.
